IN STORE: RESIST!

RESIST! is a free print publication of political comics and graphics edited and produced by Françoise Mouly, art editor of The New Yorker, and her daughter, writer Nadja Spiegelman. It made its debut at the Women’s March in Washington, short after President Trump’s election. It’s unabashedly progressive, diverse, and radical, and spotlights female creators and the issues they view as important. It combines some of the biggest names in comics with powerful work by new names, some never-before-published, solicited through a democratic open call. That doesn’t mean that men are excluded; there is a section in the back, called the “man cave”, where you will find art by the likes of Daniel Clowes and Art Spiegelman, and in between a page called “Gender Is Not Binary.”
We gave away free copies of the 2nd issue on the 4th of August (the day that fascism was born in Greece), but we still have some left, so, grab your copy today.
